Health Care: Heart Stroke Data

Author(s) :   Tanmay Sunil Khedikar

Abstract : This study examines a dataset from a hospital system in order to find parameters linked with stroke incidence. The dataset contains 5110 records, each with information such as demographics, medical history, and lifestyle factors. Age, gender, hypertension status, history of heart disease, marital status, occupation type, place of residence, average glucose level, body mass index (BMI), smoking status, and stroke incidence are all important factors.

The data analysis reveals substantial associations between stroke occurrence and a variety of parameters, including age, hypertension, heart disease, glucose levels, and smoking status. Notably, age, hypertension, and heart disease are all substantially associated with an increased risk of stroke. Furthermore, lifestyle variables such as smoking and excessive blood glucose levels contribute to increased stroke risk. This study gives valuable insights for healthcare practitioners, allowing for focused interventions and preventive actions for high-risk populations. The findings underline the need of thorough health monitoring and lifestyle changes in reducing stroke risk. More study is needed to investigate causal pathways and create predictive models for stroke prevention..
