Abstract : This paper investigates the impact of social factors on the financial performance of Indian pharmaceutical firms in India. This paper tries to check how social factors affect the financial performance of Indian pharmaceutical firms. Even though businesses now understand how important social expenditure is, many still think it's useless and detrimental. Thus, the goal of this study is to find the variables that are associated with social and financial aspects and then analyse how those factors affect the firm’s financial performance. This implies that socially responsible companies are outperforming less socially responsible companies. We observed that multinational firms are more socially responsible than domestic firms. We arrived at the conclusion that social expenses have a favourable and considerable impact on both companies' production; however, the impact is greater for multinational firms than for domestic pharmaceutical firms.
