Abstract : With the growing integration of ICT in public sector organizations, research on e-government has gained significant visibility. Although the field is still in its developmental phase, it has contributed notably to the rapid increase in scholarly publications. Despite this growth, bibliometric studies specifically focused on e-government remain limited over the past decade. The present work seeks to demonstrate how bibliometric analysis can provide a comprehensive examination of e-government literature. Using a systematic search strategy in the Scopus database, we analyzed 551 articles published between 2013 and 2023. The analysis was conducted through Biblioshiny—an online application built in R and part of the Bibliometrix package (Aria & Cuccurullo, 2017). The automation features of this software enabled the identification of leading journals, influential authors, prominent countries, highly cited papers, and key themes. These findings may offer valuable insights for policymakers engaged in e-government development. Since this is a bibliometric investigation, the study follows established guidelines for such analyses. To provide a stronger conceptual foundation for future scholars, a detailed review of relevant literature is necessary. For this research, only the Scopus database was employed, given its extensive coverage of high-quality journals and structured formats compatible with Bibliometrix, making it suitable for scientific mapping.
